My name is Harry Mulalet, I’m from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I’ve been teaching on the Ethio Bookstore platform for more than a year now.

Being an online teacher is amazing! We can teach anywhere and anytime. Meanwhile, we can meet different kids from different places and share a lot of interesting things in this virtual space. I think teaching and studying are two-way communication, we can learn from the students as well.

How to make the students speak loudly and confidently in class is important. It is better to check the student’s class lists and get to know the student’s level and the last topic. During the class, we can gradually pop up some topics related to the student's last class, which can help them review and reduce their nervous feelings. Meanwhile, you could try to speak a little bit slower or speak more clearly with appropriate grading language. Don’t forget to encourage them more!

In my free time, I enjoy going hiking with my family! Addis Ababa is a good place in the north of Ethiopia. There is a saying that the beauty of Addis Ababa is seen at the top of Entoto Mountain. How lucky I am! It takes us two hours to drive to get there. You can walk in the forests, hike in the mountains, run in the meadows, and wander around the river. The Seasons here are different throughout the year. The best hiking season is in autumn, I believe that the beautiful scenery will take your breath away!
